@Mrfunkedude Whoever eats my pizza is my enemy. Therefore.. utilizing ingredients that are universally frowned upon, gives me the opportunity to consume more pizza
I don't order it, but I enjoy it when it pops up. Plus, since it has pineapple, karmic balance is restored, as it's only fair to allow food to have a chance to eat you.
bookwyrm should have a "rereading" shelf
Dear tech manufacturers,
I will genuinely pay additional money for tech products (computers, smart phones, etc) that are aggressively non-AI and I know I'm not the only one.
TECH INFLUENCE WATCH:
👀 $526.6 million from tracked cryptocurrency and AI industry companies & individuals
🤨 $352.1 million "on hand"—held by crypto- & AI-focused committees.
🫠PAC spending: $179.8 million spent directly on federal elections this cycle

@TheBreadmonkey I farted.
@NanoRaptor
Similar thing happened to us once when our pet bird was standing in the sunlight near a full glass of water - her tail started smoking 😱
@3TomatoesShort aww little one!!!
He is very quick, clever and rhetorically gifted.
This morning, I had a heated argument with my wife.
We were on completely opposite sides. So far apart, in fact, that our positions seemed utterly irreconcilable.
I started to worry about where this argument might lead. It was serious. Really serious. Deeply concerning. We just couldn't find any common ground, which rarely happens to us.
In the end, she won. As usual.
So, between my proposal of lasagna and hers of fish, she won.
I'm trying to cope.
PS: Of course, it was a joke. We just were unsure about one place or another. But I think you needed a smile on a Friday Evening
@stefano On my own, I would face the same dilemma in deciding.
@mike yoga for grief - that's a new one
@decryption @mike It's the second time it's turned up for me in a week. This timeline is becoming very odd.
@TheBreadmonkey I vaguely remember a shagging scene in a sauna. I farted incredibly loudly in the cinema watching that bit.
Actual big lols
@stevel Ah, now this is some actually useful feedback. If the maintainers themselves consider this to be an improvement on the status quo, that counts for a lot.

RAM and SSD prices have shot straight through the ceiling and meanwhile the OSs they come with are bloated with memory-and-storage guzzling AI garbage nobody asked for—not to mention that for actual productivity or gaming purposes, today's PCs are barely ahead of ones from 2020.
Who'd want a new PC right now?
@cstross - I still pull out my 2017 MacBook Air (running Monterey) for work, travel and the occasional cafe visit.
The OS is roughly half the size of the one on my M2 Mini (running Golden Gate) and manages to run 95% of the apps on the newer unit.
And - dare I say it - does everything I need it to do.
